resolutions

I've been thinking about my new years resolution for a while now and I came up with a list of 5 things I would like to accomplish in the new year.  Some of them are big and others not so much.  Of course I don't want to take on more than I can realistically accomplish in a year but I think I can handle this.

1. try to be more patient

2. do something creative everyday

3. learn to crochet

4. make over my kitchen

5. take more photos

I was going to put the obligatory "lose weight" on there but then I thought- yeah right who am I kidding! That's been on my new years list every year for my entire life and I don't think I've ever lasted past Jan 7th. 

'tis the season for kate spade

So in cased you haven't noticed I have a major obsession with Kate Spade this year.  I've been looking through their website for holiday inspiration and here are a few of my favorites.

I am going to wear a similar outfit to this last picture to a holiday party tomorrow.  We'll see if I can pull it of.  I absolutely love love love those gift bow shoes! I think they would be pretty easy to make yourself out of some pretty satin ribbon.  Here is a great tutorial for making the bows.  Of course I think everything looks easy to make until I sit down to do it.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

My Christmas tree when up the day before Thanksgiving. Ever since I bought my house 3 years ago, it's been tradition that my family comes over every year to decorate it. So while a lot of you may say I am crazy for putting it up so early, it's the only time everyone is together before the holidays to do it. So my tree has been decorated for ever but it pretty much stopped there.  I don't know what happened but I lost steam.  After spending some quality time on the internet (and by quality time I mean while I was at work) I think I may have gotten the motivation I need to jump start my Christmas decorating again.

Did you pick up on the doily theme? Apparently I like them. Lucky for me I have a stash in my basement. I can't wait to get started!
